What we collect
When you submit an enquiry we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, company or SPV name, the nature of your enquiry and any details you include about a scheme or your investment criteria.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, assess a potential loan or investment participation
- To carry out checks we are legally required to perform before lending or accepting investment, including identity and anti-money-laundering checks
- To keep records required by law or needed to administer a facility
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in operating a lending business. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party marketing.
Who we share it with
Enquiry emails are delivered through our email service provider. If a transaction proceeds, information is shared as needed with professional advisers, valuers, the senior lender and its advisers, and identity verification providers. All are engaged under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms.
Retention
Enquiries that do not proceed are retained for up to two years, then deleted. Records connected to a completed facility are retained for the period required by law, typically six years after the facility ends.
Your rights
You have the rights provided by UK data protection law, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. To exercise any of them, email enquiries@maxmezz.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
